
Nick returns for his final season with the Eagles. After a productive junior season, we look for Nick to pick up where he left off and lead the Eagles into 2008. Nick will anchor the outfield in center field. As a junior, Nick had a .342 batting average, a .448 on-base percentage, and a .950 fielding percentage. In addition, he had 25 hits, 6 doubles, 20 RBIs, 4 stolen bases, and 18 runs scored. As a sophomore, Nick had a .414 batting average, a .519 on-base percentage,and a .978 fielding percentage. Nick was named 1st team all-league outfield. As a sophomore, he was named 1st team all-league outfield and 2nd
team all-state outfield. This season, we look for Nick to be our starting centerfielder. He will be our leadoff hitter and table setter for our team. We look for Nick to have an outstanding senior season. Nick has signed to continue his baseball career for the
Wildcats of Kansas State University. |

Ryan returns for his senior season with the Eagles. Last season, Ryan did a great job behind the plate and also at first base. As a junior, Ryan had a .333 batting average, a .345 on-base percentage, and a .980 fielding percentage. He also had 25 hits, 9 doubles, 15 runs scored, and 17 RBIs. As a sophomore, Ryan had a .405 batting average, a .473 on-base percentage, and a .892 fielding percentage. We look for Ryan to anchor the pitching staff this season. He will be one of our run producers and be a backstop behind the plate. He brings many tools to the game. Great arm strength, the ability to hit, and hitting for power are a few of the tools he will bring to the ball yard. We look for Ryan to have an outstanding senior season and to be an impact player for this year's squad. His leadership will help in many ways. Ryan has signed to continue his baseball career at Cowley County Community College. |

Kurtis returns for his senior season with the Eagles. He finished the year with a record of 6-1 in 43 innings of work and a 1/3 innings of work and a 2.05 ERA. During his junior season, Kurtis appeared in 8 games, striking out 31 hitters while walking only 3. Opponents had a .231 batting average off Kurtis. In addition, he also put up the following offensive numbers- a .244 batting average, a .436 on-base percentage, and a 1.000 fielding percentage. In addition, he had 11 hits, 10 runs scored, and 8 RBIs. Kurtis was named 1st all-league pitcher, 1st team all-state pitcher, and was selected as a member of the All-Metro team. As a sophomore, he was named 2nd team all-league pitcher and 2nd team all-state pitcher.This season, we look for Kurtis to anchor the pitching staff and continue putting up numbers as he has the past two seasons. In addition to his mound work, we will also look for Kurtis to spend time at shortstop. His success will be vital to the success of this year's squad. Kurtis has signed to continue his baseball career at the University of Central Missouri. |

Luke returns for his senior season and his second year on varsity. As a junior, Luke spent time in right fild at both the varsity and junior varsity level. He finished his junior year with a .276 batting average, a .474 on-base percentage, and a 1.000 fielding percentage. In addition, he had 8 hits, 5 RBIs, and 8 runs scored. This season, we look for Luke to compete for a starting outfield position. Luke brings a great arm, good speed, and the ability to handle the bat to this year's team. We look for Luke to be a big contributor to this year's squad. |

Jake returns for his senior campaign. After a break out year as a sophomore, Jake had a repeat season as a junior with a .382 batting average, a .536 on-base percentage, and a .945 fielding percentage. In addition, he had 26 hits, 5 doubles, 4 triples, 1 homerun, 6 stolen bases, 17 RBIs, and 27 runs scored. Jake was named 1st team all-league 1st base. As a sophomore, Jake had a .474 batting average, a .607 on-base percentage, and a .979 fielding percentage. He was named 1st team all-league 1st base, 1st team all-state 1st base, and was selected as a member of the All-Metro team. This season, we look for Jake to have an outstanding season both in the field and at bat. He brings a great understanding of the game and a great ability to lead this year's team. Jake has unbelievable power in his bat and we look for him to be a run producer for us. He is another player that will be instrumental to the success of our team. Jake will be either our starting 1st or 3rd baseman this season. We look for him to continue to put up great numbers as he brings his high school career to a close. Jake has signed to continue his baseball career for the Jayhawks at the University of Kansas. |

Garrett returns for his junior season. After an outstanding sophomore season, we look for Garrett to pick up where he left off last year. As a sophomore, Garrett was 2-0 in 20 innings with a .70 ERA. In addition, Garrett had 30 strikeouts and 12 walks. Opponents had a .157 batting average off Garrett. Garrett was named 2nd team all-league pitcher. This season, we look for Garrett to be one of our go to guys on the mound. He has a great arm and three pitches to present to opposing hitters. Garrett continues to mature on the mound and we look for great things from him this season. We look for Garrett to have an outstanding career for the Eagles. |

Brock returns for his senior season and his second year on varsity. As a junior, Brock
spent time in left field. He finished his junior year with a .200 batting average, a
.200 on-base percentage, and a 1,000 fielding percentage. This season, we look for Brock
to compete for a starting position in the outfield and to also provide depth to our
pitching staff. We look for Brock to have an outstanding senior season and to be a big
part of the success of this year's team. Brock has signed and will continue his baseball
career at Friend's University. |

Casey makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity.
Casey is returning from off-season shoulder surgery. We look for Casey to compete for
time in the outfield and provide offense from the designated hitter position. Casey
brings a great work ethic and a fierce competitive side to this year's team. We look for
Casey to be a contributor to this year's team once he completely recovers from his
shoulder injury. Casey has signed to continue his baseball and football career at
Friend's University. |

Wil makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity. We
look for Wil to add depth to our pitching staff. He will be used primarily as a closer
or a middle innings pitcher for us. Wil brings a great work ethic to this year's team
and we look for him to contribute in a couple of different ways. Along with spending
time on the mound, Wil will also be used as a runner. |

Alec makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity. We
look for Alec to either be our number four starter or a middle innings pitcher. Alec has
improved every year in the program and we look for him to help contribute to the success
of this year's team. |

Gil makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity. We
look for Gil to be our number three starter. Gil brings the ability to be an innnings
eater for us and will help solidify our pitching staff. We look for Gil to have an
outstanding senior season. Gil has signed to continue his baseball career at Johnson
County Community College. |

Tyler makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity.
We look for Tyler to be a utility player for us this year as he can play multiple
positions. He does an outstanding job handling the bat and we will look for a place
that he can help us out the most. We look for Tyler to have an outstanding senior
season. Tyler has signed to continue his baseball career at Fort Scott Community
College. |

Brett makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity.
Brett saw some varsity time as a sophomore and we look for Brett to compete for time in
the outfield this season. Brett has great athletic ability and we look for him to
contribute to the success of this year's team. |

Orie makes the move to the varsity after a successful campaign on the junior varsity.
We will look for Orie to provide depth at the catching position this year. Orie may get
play time at both the varsity and junior varsity level spending time on the junior
varsity to get game-time experience. We look for Orie to continue to improve, learn as
much as he can on varsity, and to gain experience for when his number is called. We
look for Orie to help develop our pitching staff. |

Blake makes the move to the varsity after a successful freshman year on the junior
varsity. We look for Blake to compete for a starting position at either second base or
shortstop with the possibility of playing both positions throughout the season. Blake
brings a maturity way beyond his years to this year's team and has the ability to make
players around him better. We look for great things from Blake and also look for him to
be a key piece of the puzzle for this year's success. We look for Blake to have a great
career as an Eagle. |

Dillon makes the move to the varsity after a successful freshman year on the junior
varsity. We look for Dillon to compete for time at either second or third base. In
addition, Dillon will provide depth to our pitching staff. Dillon is another one of our
young players that will continue to provide leadership for players of the future. We
look for Dillon to have an outstanding career in a Maize uniform. |

Ben makes the move to the varsity after a successful sophomore year on the junior
varsity. We look for Ben to compete for time at third base and to play shortstop when
Kurtis is pitching. Ben is a very hard nosed player that will help solidify the Eagle
defense. We look for Ben to be one of our cornerstone players in the future. We look
for Ben to be a big contributor to this year's success. |
