Coach Jamie Stiverson



Coach Jamie Stiverson is a 1992 graduate of Maize High School and was a four-year letterman on the baseball team. He received league honors his junior and senior years at Maize High School. Coach Stiverson attended Coffeyville Community College, where he played as a third baseman and served as a pitcher. He then played baseball for Kansas Newman College (Newman University) where he was a pitcher. Following a year as a student assistant at Newman he began his teaching career as a social studies instructor at Maize High School, where he has spent the past nine years. During those nine years, he has also served as assistant freshman football coach, head coach of the baseball C-team and now is an assistant coach of the JV and Varsity baseball teams. In 1992 Coach Stiverson was a member of the KABC All-Star Team. He was also a member of the Wichita Jets who participated in the NBC World Series. Jamie and his wife Kim have three sons and two daughters, Jordan, Jacob, Tyler, Hailey and Jaidyn.
