
Jamie StiversonVARSITY COACH Coach Jamie Stiverson is a 1992 graduate of Maize High School and was a four-year letterman on the baseball team. He received league honors his junior and senior years at Maize High School. Coach Stiverson attended Coffeyville Community College, where he played as a third baseman and served as a pitcher. He then played baseball for Kansas Newman College (Newman University) where he was a pitcher. Following a year as a student assistant at Newman he began his teaching career as a social studies instructor at Maize High School, where he has spent the past nine years. During those nine years, he has also served as assistant freshman football coach, head coach of the baseball C-team and now is an assistant coach of the JV and Varsity baseball teams. In 1992 Coach Stiverson was a member of the KABC All-Star Team. He was also a member of the Wichita Jets who participated in the NBC World Series. Jamie and his wife Kim have three sons and two daughters, Jordan, Jacob, Tyler, Hailey and Jaidyn. |
Jeff TrollVARSITY COACH Coach Jeff Troll is a graduate of South High School, Wichita, Kansas. He played baseball for Barton County Community College (1987-88) and was named an all-Region 6 infielder. He also played for Kansas State University (1989-90), where he was named an all Big 8 honorable mention second baseman. Coach Troll was a student assistant for the 1991 KSU team. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration that year. He is currently employed at Sinclair & Sons Custom Welding and Machining as the lead inspector. Coach Troll has been married to his wife, Pam, since 1991. They are the proud parents of two children, Emily and Seth. |

Chris Cannizzo ATHLETIC TRAINER Chris Cannizzo has been the Certified Athletic Trainer for Maize High School the past nine years. Certified Athletic Trainers provide injury assessment and rehabilitation services to all athletes and those engaged in physical activity. Cannizzo is a 1990 graduate of Wakefield High School, Wakefield, Kansas. He received his Bachelor's Degree in 1994 from Kansas State University. In 1996, Cannizzo received a Master's Degree from Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. Cannizzo worked in Indiana and in Hays before joining the staff at Via-Christi. He knows how important a good sports medicine program is if athletes are to return safely to the playing field. We at USD 266 are very grateful for everything Cannizzo provides to all our athletes. He and his wife, Tisha, have three children, Alexis, Danielle and Topher. |
